The poet Rainer Maria Rilke wrote that we should learn from trees to be “confident in the storms of spring without the fear that after them may come no summer.”
Light poured into London this weekend and illuminated all the places that had spent the winter in shadow. People seemed happier. As Easter passes, there is something of the old that is swept away and something new that comes to take its place.
